How to write a building materials RFQ that gets accurate quotes
Published November 3, 2026 · 3 min read · By the SURBAHLA technical desk
Vague requests produce padded quotes and slow follow-ups. A complete RFQ lets the supplier price accurately and confirm delivery in one reply.
Include these details
- Exact product, grade, size and standard for every line
- Quantity in the supplier’s selling unit (tonnes, m², sheets, bags)
- Project site and delivery city, with unloading access notes
- Required-by date and whether deliveries are phased
- Payment terms and any approvals or certificates needed
